Area Attractions
Lake Activities:
Our nearby Lake Norfork is known for
its clear water fishing that includes any member of the bass family, bream,
walleye, crappie, and catfish. Swimming is available while boating or at
designated swimming areas around the lake. You can enjoy water skiing,
boating, jet skiing or scuba diving. Rentals, boat slips, and launching
facilities are available at the local marinas. There are several fishing
guides who can help make your fishing more enjoyable.
River Activities:
You can go fishing for
trout in any of the nearby rivers; the Norfork River, Buffalo River, and the
White River, best known for world class trout fishing. You can do some
canoeing/floating on the rivers. You will find rentals for these activities
all along the rivers. You will find that there are fishing guides available
for your fishing enjoyment as well. Just a few minutes from the lake there is
the National Fish Hatchery where there is a day area you can picnic and you
can also do catch and release trout fishing.
Local Activities:
There are plenty of
antique and craft shops to explore minutes from here. If you want to take in a
movie, Mountain Home offers a couple of theatres to go to. You can choose from
among the many restaurants that are available in town. There is fast food to
fine dining. Within an hour you can venture out and explore the many charming
towns close by and go shopping. There are 2 local golf courses to choose from,
work out gym, shops in town, and the old downtown area.
Other Activities:
In an hour or less you can go
horseback riding, hiking, or biking in various designated areas of the State.
If you enjoy caves , there are several caves locally and Blanchard Spring
Caverns offers the ability to go on a wild cave tour.
Spend a day visiting the Historical old Mills, check out the Wolf House, or Mammoth Springs. Mountain View is the home of The Ozark Folk Center where you can easily spend the day and not be far away.
In just a couple of hours or less you can take off and go to Branson to enjoy a variety of entertainment or go to Springfield and visit the famous Bass Pro Shop.
Eureka Springs, AR is known for its unique shops and entertainment and it is only a couple of hours away as well.

Mark has been in construction a number of years, and has had the opportunity to do a lot of traveling by motorcycle. While traveling, being able to stop at a place that was clean, comfortable, and a home base to return to while in that area, was very important. Janice has been a nurse for many years and knows the importance of a clean environment and how to give TLC to her customers. Because of our background, we know that we can provide the place for you to stay. We can help you arrange your activities for that weekend getaway or family vacation.
